WE ARE ABLE TO MANUFACTURE ANY QUANTITY, HOWEVER PRICES WILL VARY SUBJECT TO OPTIMUM USE OF MACHINES AND MATERIALS.
To achieve the optimum hardness, preheat the material slowly, preferably in a salt bath or a controlled atmosphere furnace to 300 / 500 C. Soak thoroughly for approximately 30 minutes. Continue to heat to 780 / 820 C. Soak for a minimum of 15 minutes.
(Please Note: All temperatures and soaking times require adjusting according to the size and complexity of the section.)
Quench in Oil until cool to touch.
To obtain the following hardness results, hold at appropriate temperature for 1 hour per inch of thickness.
All the above figures including the graph are intended as guidelines only, as times and temperatures are dependent on the technique and equipment used.
